No. 62 International Trucks/Monaco RVs Toyota Tundra News and Notes

  • This Week’s Tundra… The No. 62 International Trucks/Monaco RVs team and Germain Racing driver Brendan Gaughan will utilize GR-016 in Friday’s 147-lap NCWTS race at Texas Motor Speedway.

  • Familiar Faces… Gaughan last raced for International under the MaxxForce Engines brand in 2008. He scored a 15th– and 16th-place finish in the two Texas events that season. His best finish for International that season was third at Charlotte Motor Speedway, a sister track to Texas .  Gaughan’s crew chief in 2008 was Bryan Berry, who also leads Gaughan’s efforts in the No. 62 Tundra at Germain Racing.

Watch and Listen… The Longhorn 350 from Texas Motor Speedway will be broadcast live on SPEED, MRN Radio and Sirius-XM NASCAR Radio, channel 90, on Friday night.  SPEED kicks off its pre-race coverage at 7:30 p.m. EDT, and MRN Radio will begin its live broadcast at 7:45 p.m. EDT on Friday, November 4.

On Racing for International Trucks/Monaco RVs at Texas …

“I’m very excited to race for International Trucks/Monaco RVs in Texas this week. Texas Motor Speedway is a track I always look forward to and with the way our No. 62 Tundra team has been running, I am even more excited about our team’s chances Friday night.”

Gaughan is a Las Vegas native, for certain, but Texas is one of his family’s homesteads…

“Texas Motor Speedway is near one of my mother’s horse ranches. My family likes to be known as a bunch of cowboys, so it’s important for me to run well there. I think next to our hometown track in Las Vegas , Texas is the most important venue on the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series schedule to my dad.”

Gaughan is a 4-time winner at Texas and knows he’s driving for a team with 7 wins there…

“ Texas feels different than any other race track because of the history there. It feels great to show up at Texas , knowing that we are capable of winning with our International Trucks/Monaco RVs Tundra. But, it’s a double-edged sword. If I have a bad race at Texas , it makes it that much worse.”
