BRIAN SCOTT QUOTES:
Do you like racing at Iowa Speedway?
"Oh man, I love racing in the heartland. Iowa Speedway is great. It’s a fun short track. It’s always a good opportunity for the XFINITY Series drivers to showcase. It never seems like we get a lot of the Sprint Cup Series regulars racing with us because it’s normally on the non-companion weekend. It’ll be fun going to Iowa and battling it out with the XFINTIY guys." What do you think of Des Moines, Iowa?
"I think a lot of people underestimate some of the towns that NASCAR race tracks are in. I think it’s been great to travel around to them. Now we have had some seasoning of going to these places six, seven or eight times. I’ve learned more and more about these cities that we go to, Des Moines being one of them. I think it’s great and I think we race in a lot of great cities and a lot of great sections of the country. It’s been fun getting to know each location a little bit more."

Red Kap & RCR … Red Kap will is featured this week as a primary sponsor on the No. 3 Chevrolet Camaro. The official provider of high performance work-wear and uniforms for RCR and ECR Engines employees, Red Kap has been in business since 1923.
About Red Kap … The Red Kap story stretches all the way back to 1923, when two brothers and a cousin teamed up to sell bib overalls. In those days, nobody referred to our products as "performance workwear." But even then, that’s exactly what we were providing. Today, our design team still spends lots of time in the garage. After all, that’s where our best ideas are born. Where working prototypes are tested, fine-tuned and then tested again. Where we’re free to sweat even the smallest details. That’s how we perfected fabrics that resist the fluids, stains and mystery grime that seem to find their way into every shop. It’s why we bartack pockets for extra strength the way we do. It’s why we know exactly where to put those pockets in the first place. The result? Top-grade uniforms that any serious gearhead can actually feel good about wearing. Comfortable, long-lasting favorites that stand up to hard days, greasy nights and everything in between. We mean it when we say they’re built from the same stuff you are. BRANDON JONES QUOTES:
This weekend marks your first career NASCAR XFINITY Series start and your first race with RCR. What are your goals you’d like to accomplish this weekend?
"I’m really looking forward to getting our JELD-WEN team to Iowa Speedway. I’m going back to a place where I’ve already raced several times for my first XFINITY Series start, and that gives me some extra confidence heading into the weekend. I think we have a good shot at a top 10, or maybe even a top-five finish. With the XFINITY Series racing at Iowa Speedway while the (NASCAR Sprint) Cup Series is at Charlotte (Motor Speedway), we probably won’t see a lot of the crossover of Cup drivers who also race in the XFINITY Series. I think it will be a good eye opener to see where we’re really at. I’ve been testing a lot with the No. 33 team at 1.5-mile tracks, so I’m comfortable in the XFINITY cars and expect that our JELD-WEN team will be pretty competitive right off the truck."
You’ve been racing in multiple series so far this season, what can you take away from those races and use in the XFINITY Series?
"We’ve been racing pretty much everything we can this year. It’s actually been a lot of fun jumping between the different series. I just kind of get in and go have some fun. If you think about it too much, you’re more likely to mess up and make mistakes. The XFINITY Series has been a totally new car to me; different tire, different motor, but I think we’ll be pretty good with our JELD-WEN team. We’ve been doing a lot of testing together, which has allowed us to get to know each other and learn how everyone communicates. Even though Iowa will be our first race together, I think we’ll be able to show up and be pretty competitive."

Welcome Home, Voss … No. 62 front-tire carrier Justin Voss returns to his home state this weekend for the Iowa 250. In the Rearview Mirror: Talladega Superspeedway… Two weeks ago at Talladega Superspeedway, Gaughan qualified seventh for the XFINITY Series event at Talladega Superspeedway. Only three laps after the green flag waved, the No. 62 was collected in an on-track incident. The Las Vegas native was able to save the Chevrolet and come to pit road for repairs. The Shane Wilson-led team worked diligently and returned to the track in the 38th position. The Richard Childress Racing team fought to earn track position and was inside the top 20 by lap 11. On lap 74, green flag pit stops were underway and an incident collected Gaughan and nine other cars on the front stretch. This accident ended the day for the 39-year-old driver and his RCR teammates. Gaughan finished the day in the 39th position.
To the Points …Heading into Iowa, Gaughan and the No. 62 South Point Hotel & Casino team are 10th in the driver point standings.

BRENDAN GAUGHAN QUOTES:
Why do you enjoy racing at Iowa?
"As a driver, I really enjoy racing at Iowa. The track has a higher line that you are able to drive and keep the momentum almost like a speedway. Those were always the tracks I was better at, mostly because I love running the high line. Rusty (Wallace) did a great job with this track. As much as I enjoy the racing at Iowa, my favorite thing about the speedway is how the fans always show up. I always tell people that is what impresses me the most every time we race at Iowa."
